Corvettes for Sale: Bridgehampton Blue 1970 Corvette Coupe with an LS5 V8 and a 4-Speed Manual

This 1970 Corvette has spent the last 30 years with the same owner, but fate had other plans—just as the car finally emerged from a fresh frame up restoration, he never got the chance to enjoy the payoff. A shame, because this T Top coupe is the kind of machine that begs to be driven hard and often.

The star of the show sits under the hood: an LS6 454 rated at a thunderous 450 horsepower, fed by a Holley dual feed four-barrel carb and topped with a Winters aluminum intake. The listing doesn’t claim it’s numbers matching and the factory rating on the LS6 was only 390-hp, but it is 1970 date coded—close enough to keep purists curious and drivers grinning. Paired with a Muncie four speed, this Stingray promises the kind of old school, big block drama that never goes out of style.

The exterior is just as bold. A fresh coat of Bridgehampton Blue sets the tone, accented by white striping on the hood and tail—a subtle nod to the wild Motion Performance cars of the era. A set of 17-inch American Racing Torque Thrust wheels wrapped in 235/55R17 BF Goodrich Advantage T/As completes the stance. This car doesn’t just walk the walk; it struts.

Inside, the upgrades keep coming. Air conditioning, power steering, power four-wheel discs, tilt telescopic column, and black leather seats with custom trim make this Corvette far more civilized than many of its 1970 peers. Add in Bilstein shocks, side pipes, a removable rear window, and a JVC sound system, and you’ve got a mild restomod that blends vintage attitude with modern comfort.

  1. “the factory rating on the LS6 was only 390-hp”

The 390hp 454 engine option for 1970 Corvettes was not an LS6, but rather was the LS5.
