Money is no object.

That seems to have been the mantra for the original buyer of this 2023 Corvette Stingray that includes four major options along with more than $22,000 in OEM visible carbon fiber.

It all added up to an MSRP of a whopping $115,690 – up there in Z06 territory for sure!

But now, three years later, someone is about to get the bargain of a lifetime as this loaded-out Stingray is being offered for only $79,999 on Craiglist out of Tualatin, Oregon, near Portland.

That’s a savings of $35,000 off the original sticker price, and the car has been driven less than 11,000 miles, with the remaining factory warranty still applicable and a 7,500-mile transmission service completed on time.

Outfitted with the Z51 Performance Package, Magnetic Selective Ride Control, and Front Lift, along with the top-of-the-line 3LZ trim package, the car is coated in Black paint over the two-tone Adrenaline Red / Black interior with carbon-fiber trim and Alcantara headliner – a combination that the seller boasts “exudes supercar style.”

In addition, the carbon features lots of carbon fiber – ground effects, roof panel, grille inserts, mirror caps, and more. You’ll spot a rear spoiler for $6,495; ground effects package for $4,995; door intake trim for $3,195; roof panel for $2,495; grille insert for $2,125; and interior trim, cluster-surround, console, and door plates for $1,500; and mirror caps for $1,285 – all done in visible carbon fiber.

The result, the seller concludes, “is pure exotic energy with daily-drive comfort – understated black, deep carbon sheen, and a cockpit that feels custom-built.”

In case you don’t prefer the black Trident wheels with All Season tires currently on the car, the seller will swap them out for the chrome Tridents with summers. You can have both sets of wheels and tires for an additional $2,000.

  1. As I always thought, carbon fiber cosmetic stuff doesn’t do much for resale. That’s a lot of money down the drain.

  2. @Bob,

That’s because Carbon Fiber is like chrome. It’s a fetish that appeals to a select crowd. Spending money on it is something you do for personal preference, with the understanding that you’ll never get your money back out of it.

Not unlike car mods in general, IMHO.
