[VIDEO] Hennessey Makes a 200 MPH Corvette ZR1 Christmas Tree Run

Hennessey Performance Engineering in Texas just got their Black 2026 Corvette ZR1 and now we can’t get out of the way from their latest content which seems to be dropping daily now that the new King of the Hill is their star attraction.

As its Christmas week, we thought we would share this fun video of Hennessey’s Santa Clause and his helpers wringing out as much tire-smoking performance from the 1,064-hp sports car as possible when you have a Christmas tree mounted to the roof.

After seeing the ZR1 hit 196 mph on an airport runway with the Christmas tree strapped to its visible carbon fiber roof, we know that we don’t have to worry about any critters living in the branches of that tree.

But they weren’t done yet! Hennessey driver Spencer Geswein explains:

Good afternoon, Hennessy fans and Hennessy team. Merry Christmas to everybody. Welcome to our seventh or eighth annual Christmas tree run. It’s a nice little festive thing we do for the holidays. This year, we’re doing a Christmas tree run with the brand new 2026 Chevrolet ZR1. We’ve got one of the largest Christmas trees that we’ve ever strapped to the car. Makes the car a little bit unstable when we get above 180 mph, but the car is really, really strong right from the factory.

I can’t wait to see what the Hennessy team does with this car. After we have a few more months with it. But after we make a couple more passes here, see if we can get a couple more miles an hour out of the car, we’re going to take the tree off the top and uh see if we can get well over 200 with this car.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
