For 18 years, this 1971 Corvette lived a remarkably gentle life. An older couple owned it, drove it just 300 miles, and kept it pampered, preserved, and far from harm.
The current owner picked up where they left off, continuing the careful stewardship with fresh maintenance, tasteful upgrades, and thorough documentation. Now, he’s ready to hand this chrome bumper C3 to its next caretaker, listing it on Craigslist out of Delta, British Columbia.
Professionally appraised at a 3+ condition—an “excellent driver”—the car is offered at $49,900.
Finished in the somewhat rare Bridgehampton Blue—just 1,417 of 21,801 Corvettes wore the color in ’71—this convertible pairs its paint with a white soft top and Dark Blue interior. Inside and out, it presents as an unusually tidy example.
Under the hood sits the original 350 V8, now enhanced with bored pistons, a high performance cam, headers, and an aftermarket intake and carburetor. The seller calls it a “strong, healthy” engine with “great sound, no smoke.”
Power flows through the original four speed manual and Positraction rear end, a combo he describes as offering “smooth shifting” and a “tight drivetrain.”
Underneath, the frame and birdcage are reported rust free, supporting a straight, solid body. The gauges, lights, and radio all function, though the wipers, heater, and horn will need attention.
Receipts, photos, and the recent appraisal come with the car. The seller sums up his Stingray simply: an excellent driver—reliable, strong—and a head turner everywhere it goes. Did it catch your eye?
