As it’s the week of Thanksgiving, Chevrolet is continuing its tradition of releasing a long-form video that shares a heartfelt story of family, traditions, and of course, a family’s trusty old Chevrolet. This year, it’s a two-tone 1978 Chevrolet Suburban that is the featured classic.
The 2025 Holiday Card to America tells the story of an “empty nesters” couple traveling to the annual family get-together. As the journey gets underway, the mother relives those special moments in the past when the back bench seat of the Suburban held their children and the family dog. Eventually, the Suburban reaches its destination where a new generation of family is awaiting the arrival of Mom and Dad.
The long-form video is called “Memory Lane” and it clocks in at a little over three minutes. You’ll also be able to watch the 60-second version of this Holiday Card to America as its scheduled to air during the NFL game on FOX on Thanksgiving Day.
“As a father of three adult boys, the holidays give us the opportunity to reconnect, and cherish the traditions that bring us together,” said Steve Majoros, Chief Marketing Officer, Chevrolet. “This year, our focus was to invite people to remember life’s most special moments with family, with its ups and downs, and to find joy in the journey.”
“We can’t wait to share this story with families across America, in a way only Chevy can. We are a brand that represents the faces of our country and we’re certain many will see themselves reflected in this story.”

Very nice video, but how can this be edited down to 60 seconds? Can’t be easy!
nice….
Not one of the better GM Holiday productions. Recording the long crank time on the ’57 is avoidable and unforgivable.
