[VIDEO] Chevrolet's 2024 Holiday Commercial Is Another Emotional Ride

Chevrolet has released their annual long-form holiday commercial today and once again they have created an instant classic about dealing with loss of a family member and finding your own way in the world.

This new 2024 commercial is called “The Sanctuary” which opens with a holiday family get-together at the family farm. It’s apparent that the grandfather in the family has recently passed away, as we learn from the grandmother talking with her son. As that is going on, the grandson appears to be uncomfortable talking about registering for college with family members. His father sees that and takes him out to the barn which is where the grandfather and grandson spent so much time together.

We learned that the grandfather was a hard worker who was good with his hands, and over the course of the years, he taught his grandson much about woodworking, as well as working on the family’s 1978 Chevy Silverado C10. Starting up the old pickup truck, the dad asks his son “You know what grandpa used to call this?” “His favorite song,” replies the grandson. As the father and son take the old Chevy for a drive through town, dad points out some of the houses that the grandfather boasted of building over the years, including the church which he fixed up for free.

After returning home, the father tells the son that he went a different route through life than his dad did. “I was never very good with my hands, like you are,” and he says that he sometimes regrets not following in his father’s footsteps. The grandson shakes his head and says, “I want to be just like him,” to which his father replies…”you already are.”

Expect to see a shorter version of this commercial airing during the Thanksgiving Day football games.

This holiday season, remember none of us can get where we want to go without the support of another. Especially from those we cherished most. Watch as a father and son come together on the bench of their family’s 1978 Chevy Silverado C10 to look back on their shared past and how it continues to drive them forward.
