Some people learn from their mistakes. This C8 Corvette driver isn’t one of them.
Just weeks after Officer Marchetti of Pembroke Pines PD cited him for speeding, our protagonist decided to double down — literally. This time, the radar gun screamed 99 mph in a 45 zone along Pines Boulevard, transforming his Stingray into evidence on a flatbed.
The math was simple: 54 mph over the limit equals one impounded Corvette plus one all-expenses-paid trip to BSO Main Jail.
“SLOW DOWN when traveling through Pines,” the department warned on Facebook, though apparently some drivers need their lessons delivered via tow truck rather than ticket book.
Pro tip for fellow C8 owners: That 495-horsepower LT2 engine sounds even better when you’re not explaining it to a judge.
