Our friends at the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School at Spring Mountain in Pahrump, NV got some exciting news this week as they received their first deliveries of the 1,064-hp Corvette ZR1 for use at the track.
A few photos were posted to the Corvette Forum as part of the announcement, and we count no less than five ZR1s that will soon undergo the required 1,500 miles of break-in before they are actually used at the track.
One commenter asked if there would be a specific track configuration that would allow the ZR1 owners to stretch their legs. The rep from Spring Mountain responded with “More than likely, east and CP configurations. Don’t hold us to that, as plans change!”
According to the post, the ZR1 Corvette Owner’s program will not be introduced until sometime in 2026.
One questions that was asked and went unanswered if these units have the ZTK Performance Package. Unfortunately, the ZTK RPO has been impacted by the slow rollout of the 10-piston Alcon brakes which haven’t been available for most customer orders on the 2026 ZR1s.
With the ZR1s now at the school, we can’t wait to see them wearing the familiar Ron Fellows Driving School liveries.

I bought every C8 Corvette model, 2020 Stingray, 2023 Z06, 2024 E-Ray and now breaking in my 2025 ZR1, I sure plan to attend a “driver school” once it’s opened.
I now cannot wait for my ZR! X to show up hopefully early in 2026….
Are the ZR1s for Fellows, pilot or preproduction cars?
Sometime manufactures make preproduction cars not suitable, quality wise, for purposes other than retail sales.
With ZR1s demand probably exceeding production it would seem so.
