The owner of this “very meticulously” restored 1968 Corvette T-Top coupe says photos don’t do this “must-see” classic justice.
Once we moved past the incorrect 1969 labeling at the top of the Craigslist ad for this car that’s actually a 1968 (verified by the VIN), we came to appreciate this beautiful International Blue over blue big-block C3 even more.
The asking price of $79,000 for this Denver-area Corvette may seem a little high, but it would likely be hard to complete such a restoration for less than that.
The car doesn’t have the original motor, but it does have a period-correct L71 427/435 horsepower V8 that’s been rebuilt with aluminum Max 290BBC heads, tri-power 3×2 carburetors, and original manifold said to be period-correct. It’s matched to a rebuilt Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear axle with 3:36.1 ratio.
The list of new parts is long, including the blue vinyl interior, glass/emblems/gauges, wheels and tires, and new or polished stainless steel moldings.
One of the photos seems to show a stack of paperwork, which is not explained in the ad, but it appears to be a title on top of what is perhaps other original documentation.
We really love the stance of this car, especially the tires and wheels that give it a more aggressive appearance to match what’s hiding under the hood. Do you?

Nice set of wheels. But he’s dreaming about 80k.
Good luck with that. Wish him well.
I’m drooling over this life size Hot Wheels Corvette! It is so cool!
Tires and wheels don’t go with this car.
The tires and rims are the worst part of the car they don’t go with it
