General Motors is out with the its 2nd Quarter Sales Report for 2026 and it looks to be some good news for Corvette sales!
For the three months of 2nd Quarter (April-June), Chevrolet delivered 7,182 new Corvettes. That was a 23.8% increase over 2nd Quarter 2025 which saw just 5,801 Corvettes delivered during the same time frame. For the Calendar Year 2026, Chevrolet shows 13,417 new deliveries which is a 6.5% increase over the 12,595 Corvettes delivered in the first half of 2025.
Looking back over the last three months, we only see favorable news in the Corvette Nation and nothing that should deter people from purchasing a new Corvette. We had two special editions that came out at the ever end of the 2026 model year which included the Quail Silver ZR1Xs and the Stars and Steel Editions, but those two special editions were limited to quantities of less of 350 total combined. The 2027 model year also came online in June with some new 2027s Corvettes being invoiced ahead of customer deliveries.
Corvette sales also benefited from the continued $4,000 loyalty rebate on 2025 Corvettes while a new $7,000 Private Offer for 2026 Corvette Z06s and E-Rays probably also contributed to the strong sales period. With the private offer and loyalty rebates combined, a savvy shopper could save upwards of $11,000.
Looking ahead, we believe the third quarter will show a rebound as well as the 2027 model year ramps up with new deliveries of the Grand Sport and Grand Sport X, while Chevy also makes a convincing 200+ MPH argument for upgrading to the 2027 Stingray as well.
These delivery numbers are for U.S. sales only.

DETROIT — General Motors was America’s #1 automaker in U.S. sales for the second quarter amid ongoing strong demand for pickup trucks and SUVs.
GM sales in Q2 totaled 714,896 vehicles, down 4.2% which reflected the smaller EV market, discontinued vehicles and some inventory constraints.
“Our business is performing well, and customer demand is resilient, especially for our trucks and SUVs. The depth, breadth and appeal of our vehicle portfolio allows us to lead the market in sales, while maintaining discipline on inventory, pricing and incentives to deliver strong margins.” – Duncan Aldred, GM President of North America.
GM led in full-size pickup and large SUV sales, remained the #2 EV seller in the U.S. and continued offering six budget-friendly Chevrolet and Buick models with starting MSRPs of about $30,000 or less1.
Other U.S. sales highlights include:
- GMC recorded its best-ever Sierra sales for the second quarter and best-ever Canyon sales for the first half.
- Chevrolet’s SUV lineup had its best Q2 sales ever, led by growth for Trailblazer, up 28% and Traverse, up 20%. Corvette also had a great Q2 with sales up 24%.
- Buick’s Envista had its best quarter ever while Enclave reported its best quarter since 2021.
- Cadillac delivered its best-ever Q2 of EV sales, driven by OPTIQ and VISTIQ. V-Series also had its best quarter and best first half ever.
- GM led the industry in fleet sales for both Q2 and the first half, driven by strong truck demand from commercial customers.

Remember it was not long ago we had ADM, $5000 deposit lotteries to get an allocation, and very long wait times.
Those 2026 ER’s are going to sit for a long while, because they aren’t being discounted–and they’re about to get massively supplanted by the GSX.
Plus, if you subtract all of the 1LZ coupes and HTC’s, the total number available drops by about 2/3rds. What’s left drops by another 2/3rds if you’re only looking for HTC’s.
Lot stock orders were NOT optioned well at all–and it shows.
