Not unlike the Paw Patrol, CorvetteBlogger has been on a roll lately. It isn’t unusual to see our breaking news and opinions grace the mainstream automotive sites the next day, and we’ve recently been quoted or otherwise referenced on YouTube, Podcasts, and even in what one of your author’s finance professors simply called “The Journal.” One such post that provoked much online conversation was the January edition of Blogger Bets, where my esteemed colleagues and I put forth guesses about the starting MSRP of the then-fresh 2025 Corvette ZR1.
Yours truly raised a few eyebrows by guessing over $200,000, but, along with the outrageously high value of the performance at play – the closest speed/power comp was and is the $600,000 Ferrari SF90 and its new Testarossa replacement (another hybrid that still falls short of the all-ICE ZR1’s output), one of the primary reasons I planted my flag north of $200k was to avoid the possibility of awkward situations like the one Ferman (no relation to Mike Furman) Chevrolet of Tarpon Springs currently finds itself.
With the extremely limited number of 2025s already spoken for, the bare minimum to get into a ZR1 now sits at $182,395. Even though the nearly resolved stop-sale keeps them from advertising it on their site currently, Ferman Chevy is the home of one of the highest-option new Z06s in America, and it is a truly glorious thing to behold!
Picture this:
Sebring Orange on top of the criminally underrated Sueded and Habanero-trimmed (HUX) interior with orange seat belts. Matching Orange calipers showing brightly from behind exposed carbon fiber wheels. More exposed weave on the big aero kit of the Z07 track package, slathered around (Level 2) the cabin along with stealth accents, mirror covers, door sill plates, and surrounding the LT6’s Edge Red intake manifold in the engine bay.
Other nice touches include Carbon Flash badges, Black exhaust tips and lug nuts, and the GPS memory-enabled front lift system. It even has the Edge Red $1,800 rear hatch strut braces that were outlandish enough to warrant their own post last November!
All this extravagance pushes their Z06 ten grand into ZR1 territory with a pre-tax ask of $192,134. That might seem like a foolish gamble, and there’s a good chance that the Orange-on-Orange dream machine will end up with a significant markdown like this one a little further inland from Tampa Bay that certainly passes AMG’s Batman test, but it’s also very important to have dealers out there ordering Zs like this one, instead of hurting the brand by continually pumping out ho-hum examples.
Nearly one-in-three Corvette fans polled said they’d rather have a decked-out naturally aspirated Z06 than a base ZR1. This is their chance to prove it!

Note to dealers: Photoshopping the background out of your inventory pictures never looks good.
Depreciation is going to hit this thing hard and the price on it will drop like a fresh deuce.
Just another prime example of another person with way more money than common sense & also shows a lack of respect for the many thousands of Corvette buyers who resisted dealership greed by not being a spendthrift.
I have a 26 blade silver Z06, on order, to match my 03 blade silver Z06. I much prefer the NA sound over the pressurized sound of a V8. I know i probably over optioned Z06 but I never buy a car for the resale. I buy a car for the enjoyment. Z06’s are a blast on the track.
