Corvettes for Sale: 1965 Corvette Sting Ray Convertible in Nassau Blue

Before the current owner of this 1965 Corvette convertible bought it 20 years ago, the car had undergone a frame-off restoration.

Now after two decades of careful maintenance since, this Sting Ray is up for sale on Craiglist out of Marshallberg, North Carolina with an asking price of $55,000.

That sounds like a fair price to us for this car, which wears its original Nassau Blue color with a matching hardtop, as well as a white soft top.

Under the hood is a 327/300 horsepower engine, a $53.80 option from the factory, and it’s mated to a four-speed manual transmission.

What’s especially intriguing about this vintage C2 is that its original blue leather seats and original carpet were left in place, giving it a lived-in look that is nice but doesn’t look too perfect and still exudes character. No word about the blue door panels, but they are in excellent condition. In fact, a look at the photos doesn’t reveal any glaring problems that would have to be addressed by a new owner.

Under his stewardship, the seller says the car has been well-maintained and exercised weekly to ensure it runs great.

The listing sums it nicely with this synopsis of the car: “If you love an iconic 1965 Corvette convertible with the two tops (soft top and hard top) in what we think is the best color for this car, the Nassau Blue with beautiful leather interior that has been highly maintained by a serious Corvette enthusiast this car is hard to beat!”

We tend to agree.
