With the Corvette E-Ray and Z06s now being sold side by side with each other, many prospective buyers may be still trying to figure out which is the best ride for them. As both cars look similar, it really comes down to driving habits and what you want to get out of your ownership. Obviously, if you track your car on a regular basis, the Z06 seems like the clear winner. However, if you are more of a road tripper and want to drive your Corvette longer throughout the year, the AWD E-Ray may be the one for you.
In this new video from Rob with a Z06, he compares his Z06 with bolt-on upgrades to his friend Corey from Paragon Performance, who has an E-Ray that’s been upgraded with a ProCharger. Both cars look great with the Z06 getting a custom wrap and wheels, while the E-Ray has also been tastefully customized with white calipers and bronze wheels. But it’s what is under the hood that matters.
Corey added a P1X ProCharger to boost the performance of his E-Ray. He says there is still some tuning to do but so far the car is producing 696 WHP and 693 lb-ft of torque. Corey says the in-car performance timer shows consistent 0-60 mph launches of 2.2 seconds
Rob says his Z06 has undergone several modifications including an Eventuri carbon fiber air intake, high-flow sport cats, and a full titanium race exhaust which raised his total Wheel Horsepower to between 650-670 HP. As far as performance goes, Rob says his launches are 2.5 seconds or so on the Performance Timer.
The comparison also features a “Rev-Off” so you can hear the sound from each car. What’s your favorite? Let us know in the comments below!

I like the Z06 sound better.
Passed on a Z06 when I ordered my 23 Z51 HTC as I didn’t care for the foreign car sound. I’m an old gear head and like to hear my muscle.
Both these cars are too expensive and are destroying the young enthusiast market. Are you listening American car manufacturers? You’re destroying your future for quick money gains. It’s makes as much sense as organ donation for cash.🫠
Let’s get some perspective. These are not “base” level corvettes. Why do people complain that “top of the line” corvettes are too expensive for young kids to buy? They are actually cheap in their market segment. Recall that in the 1960s and early 70s, an L88 or fuel injected Corvette cost a lot more than a 327 4 barrel base car. Kids bought Chevy Vegas back then, not L88 corvettes…
I just read another article where a dealership has a new 1LT advertised for $63,000. These days it’s not too hard to find a pickup truck with a sticker over $100,000.
