We actually got a two-fer today thanks to our spy photographer in Michigan who recently captured not only another look at the redesigned interior of the 2026 Corvette, but he also gave us our first look at the C8 Corvette ZORA Convertible model.
It was back in 2021 that we had our first report of a possible redesign for the C8 Corvette’s interior and it sure took its sweet time in getting here. For whatever reason, the C8’s Great Wall of Buttons has been deemed “controversial” by some in the automotive press while others simply prefer a more open look. Despite that, the poll numbers for the Great Wall have always been pretty good among owners, which may explain why it took until 2026 for it to happen.
Our first look at the redesigned interior came on the 6th of March as our spy photographer captured a group of Chevy engineers testing five ZORA models in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. One of the cars did a drive-by which showed it was wearing camo in the interior. A second look at the interior came from observing a couple of 2026 Z06s entering the Milford Proving Ground. Those photos showed that the Great Wall was essentially gone while the top of the dash surrounding the center infotainment screen was updated over the previous C8s.
Now, our spy photographer managed to do it again by getting a glimpse into the interior thanks to an open driver’s door which provides an additional angle of view. While there is still plenty of camo in the interior, the Great Wall does appear to be missing as it looks like one of the Chevy engineer’s laptop is sitting flat on the center console area. I doubt it would be able to be in that position with the Great Wall still intact.
One difference we can make out is that it appears the center infotainment screen will indeed be larger than the current C8 models, which is somewhat deceptive as the large black bezels make it appear larger than the 8-inches that it is. The new screen looks to take up a lot more of that space with thinner bezels that help increase the screen size. That’s about the only thing we can confirm interior-wise with these photos. The camo guys really know how to lay it on to keep prying eyes away from the good stuff.
That’s leads us into our second point with these photos. Going back to last October, the C8 Corvette ZORA prototypes took to the Nürburgring and we noted at the time that they were all coupe body styles. Then again, just three weeks ago in the Upper Peninsula, we see that all five of those ZORAs were coupes as well, leading some to speculate that the ZORA might be the first model in the C8 lineup to not offer a convertible. Well, just over a week ago our spy photographer came into contact with some C8 Corvette ZORA Convertibles, and he shared some of those photos with this offering.
One other thing we realized about the ZORAs is that in almost every photo that we see car with its ZR1 body and the E-Ray’s vertical radiator is that nearly all of the cars are being run with a wide-open front grill. You can see the top trim piece is missing, and we’ve gone back in time to review previous ZORA sightings, and nearly all cars seem to have the front grills opened up. Of the five cars that were in the Upper Peninsula this month, four of them had the front grills opened while the fifth had the regular trim piece in place.
With the number of C8 Corvette ZORA’s roaming the USA, it feels like we are getting closer to seeing these cars become a reality. But we’ve also still got plenty of time before that happens due to Chevrolet’s production schedule which may have seen the 2025 model year extended so that more aero could be found for the first ZR1 orders. We doubt this will be a late 2026 model and we probably won’t see it until the 2027s arrive.
Check out the spy photos below and let us know what you see?

I will have cash in the bank. And yet my chances of getting my hands on a 2028 75th Anniversary ZR-A Convertible for MSRP–are 0%.
That “new screen” in the photo is a laptop being used as part of testing. It’s clearly NOT integrated into the dash.
It looks like the screen is flat and the dash pad extends over to the passenger side..The screen looks similar to the Cadillacs! The steering wheel also looks different !
The Wall-o-Buttons gone is step 1… too bad the steering wheel retains the large rectangular shape.
More photos that are even more obscured that the first round of “Corvette interior” pics that have been making the rounds as click bait.
Absolutely nothing to see here.
Lots of nothing being published about the minor changes expected for the C8’s interior.
Looks like Air Bags already deployed !
Stop f-ing around and instead get rid of that stupid steering wheel and the geriatric golf bag trunk and put in a rear end that rivals a McLaren’s with a wicked exhaust
