Despite the winter weather passing through the interior of the country this week, workers at the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green reported for duty on Monday morning as production resumes for America’s Favorite Sports Car. That news was confirmed by our friends at the MidEngineCorvetteForum.com who received confirmation from a plant spokesperson.

“We are running today. Full production,” the message said.

Workers had been off since the 2nd shift ended on Friday, December 13th. But we’re pretty sure not everyone was fully off during that time. The extended break usually allows the maintenance crews the ability to make equipment updates, repairs or changes that would typically take longer than the overnight hours when the line is stopped.

The extended vacation time also allowed dealers to sell off some of their remaining 2024 Corvettes that are still for sale. We’ll have some more on that later this week.

And finally, we are still in the middle of December’s order cycle which spilled into January. It seems like forever-ago as dealers received their allocations on December 13th. For those who have been waiting, dealers will receive the latest constraints on Thursday, January 9th and can submit orders through Tuesday, January 14th.
