CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R POST-QUALIFYING DRIVER QUOTES

ALEXANDER SIMS, NO. 3 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R:

“I wasn’t quite sure how the tires would switch themselves on. But we had a plan that worked pretty well honestly, and the tires came in pretty quickly. Our Corvette was pretty on-point, I would say. It was rather sketchy out there, but it was fast and really enjoyable. Great job by the whole Pratt Miller team to get our Corvettes on the second row. The most frustrating thing is that Tommy (Milner) predicted I would be third and I called BS. But he was actually right so that’s really frustrating! But honestly I think we were more competitive than I expected, so very pleased.”

NICKY CATSBURG, NO. 4 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R:

“It felt like a very, very nice qualifying session. Normally when you’re P4, you’re kind of happy/not happy. But today I think we can be really happy. We showed real pace, better than expected. From my side it was a very enjoyable qualifying. The car was really nice… trying to push that little bit more every lap. This is such a high-commitment place. Super-good execution by the team. I think we nailed the setup and can be quite happy with a second-row start tomorrow.”

MASON FILIPPI, NO. 36 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R:

“It was good. Our Corvette was really hooked up in that first sector. It’s my first time ever qualifying in GT3, and it was a lot of fun… probably the most fun I’ve had in a racecar ever. DXDT Racing gave me a great car, and I really appreciate them giving me such a good Corvette today. We’re looking forward to the race tomorrow.”

OREY FIDANI, NO. 13 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Z06 GT3.R:

“It’s obviously not the qualifying result we were hoping for, but I think it doesn’t tell the full story. The car has felt strong all weekend, and we know we have a package capable of moving forward in the race. Racing at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is always special for me. It’s my home race, with family, friends and so many Canadian fans in attendance, so there’s a little extra motivation to put on a good show. We’ll be pushing to make up ground and give everyone something to cheer about.”
