December's Corvette Order Cycle Will Now Close in January 2025

As we close out the 2024 calendar year, we were expecting to share the final constraints for the single Corvette order cycle that was planned for December. However, it appears that due to the holidays, GM has now pushed December’s ordering into January 2025.

GM provided the allocations and the general constraints on December 12th, and had they followed through their usual schedule of opening the order bank on the following Thursday, that means it would be closing on Christmas Eve. According to our friend Rick Conti, that ordering date has now been pushed back to Thursday, January 9th with the ordering closing on the 14th.

Unfortunately, that decision means that the actual constraints for the order cycle won’t be given to dealers until January 9th, so customers and dealers who need to order one of these potentially-restricted options like the Stingray’s Q9I Gloss Black Wheels or the Z06’s T0F/T0G Carbon Fiber High Wing will have to wait until early next year before learning if they will have one of these options available for them.

As we head into the new calendar year, the three-month period of December thru February was expected to host just one Corvette order cycle during each of the months. Rick says that a January order cycle is still planned and that it will most likely happen at the end of the month.

As we look forward from there, things are expected to heat up in February as the ZR1 allocations are scheduled to be given to dealers, as well as the expected methodology for distributing America’s only hypercar to dealers. With that kind of lead time, we’re hoping to see pricing and the ZR1 order guide sooner rather than later. As always, we’ll have the latest as it becomes available.

  1. Load up the dealer inventories. There are around 35 or so new C8s in my town including Zs and Erays. Prices are down but not enough.
