[VIDEO] 1959 Corvette Fuelie Revealed at 2024 MCACN Show

The 2024 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals (MCACN) show featured a record of 22 Premier Unveiling last weekend in Chicago. These reveals have become a staple of the MCACN show and provide owners and restorers with a fun platform to show off the fruits of their labor.

The 2024 list of Premier Unveiling featured two Corvettes. We’ve already shared the uber rare 1971 ZR2 coupe and now we’ll check out the stunning 1959 fuelie that was revealed a few minutes later.

The striking C1 Corvette was presented by owner John Owens and restored by Rick Tucker’s Tucker Performance Center in Nevada. It’s one of 1,594 cars painted Tuxedo Black that year. Additional features include silver coves, black interior, wide white wall tires, and a matching black hardtop. Power comes from the desirable 290hp fuel injected engine that’s backed by a 4-speed manual transmission.

In the video below we again hear from restorer Rick Tucker who talks about his relationship with the car over the years. From there owner John Owens talks about what it’s like to pilot a fuelie Corvette and even recants a story of when the car experienced an electrical fire while driving down the famous Las Vegas strip.

Every Corvette has a story, and this one is no different. We love that the MCACN show provides a platform for owners to share the history of their car each year.
