Happy Monday, Corvette friends! We hope your week is off to a flying start. If you need a little boost to get through this short work week, Midyear Monday is here to power things up. We spent last weekend in Chicago at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals (MCACN) peeping the “best of the best” muscle cars and Corvettes from around the globe and we’ll be bringing you highlights from the show over the coming days.
The MCACN team had cars of all makes and models stuffed into every corner of the Donald E. Stephens Convention center. Corvette Central’s Triple Diamond competition set a new record with 55 Corvettes in attendance. Of those, well over half were built between 1963 and 1967 and their pedigrees couldn’t be beaten. Check out this hitlist: 1967 L89, multiple 1963 Z06’s, and several big tank cars. Add in a mix of fuelies and big blocks, and you’ve got an impressive array of C2 Corvettes! If that’s not enough, a barn fresh 1963 big tank Z06 was front a center in the Barn Finds and Hidden Gems display.
So, before you begin to defrost that Thanksgiving turkey, check out our special MCACN flavored edition of Midyear Monday below. You’ll love how well it pairs with stuffing and mashed potatoes. Then keep it tuned here over the coming days for more of our extensive coverage from the 2024 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals.
Have a cool shot of a C2 from MCACN? Spot your car in our gallery? Give yourself a shout out in our Comments section below or on X.com and Facebook.

There has never been a more iconic car in American manufacturing, it brought a new perspective & respect, not only to Chevrolet, but the racing circuit as well, I don’t believe the C2 will ever be old fashioned & will continue to be the standard by which all others are measured by.
Hey there, great photography there in Chicago from Mr. Burns!
Can somebody find out why this show is not in the summer or spring so we can drive up there without snow and ice during our new climate change future? Perhaps the week before or after Bloomington / Carlisle / NCM Anniversary in August would be a better weekend.
I would attend but not having to drive thru nasty fall weather which is now alot of winter conditions that Chicago just had. Just a suggestion Mr. MCACN show promoter
Again you hit us up with another collection of nice Corvette pics. Looking forward to more of them.
Awesome to see my 66 unrestored 21xxx 3 speed mosport…. Great experience at mcacn. A lot of awesome rare cars
