[VIDEO] 2025 Corvette E-Ray Drags a 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance

I’ve never been in a Tesla before but last weekend I finally had an opportunity to drive a Model 3 Performance and I was very shocked at just how fast the car is from a dead stop. The invitation came from my neighbor’s father-in-law who made the offer after seeing my new 2025 E-Ray parked in the driveway. Being a car guy, how could I refuse?

After driving his car and talking about the comparisons to the Corvette, he was very surprised to learn that the E-Ray boasts a 2.5 second 0-60 MPH sprint as he believed his Tesla can do it in 3 seconds. I hadn’t yet done any launches in my new plastic fantastic, so I promised to repay the opportunity once I get more familiar with my car.

Of course, that had me thinking about what would happen should both cars find themselves at the dragstrip, and then this video from ImportRace on YouTube showed up as one possible answer to that question.

It turns out that the Tesla Model 3 Performance and the Corvette E-Ray are similarly matched despite the vast differences in how they get their motivation. The Model 3 Performance features over 500 horsepower and can run 0-60 MPH in 2.9 seconds. The E-Ray boasts 655 combined horsepower and is capable of 0-60 in 2.5 seconds.

ImportRace captured the two cars running the quarter mile at Island Dragway in New Jersey. We won’t spill the beans on the times, but these were two extremely close races. So sit back as we watch the E-Ray and Tesla Model 3 Performance duke it out for quarter-mile supremacy!
