We can’t ever remember a drag race video that offers up all sorts of views inside and outside of this Rapid Blue 2024 Corvette Stingray going up against a tuned Audi S4 four-door sedan.

One view in the C8’s side mirror captures the Audi fading into the background, another front view shows the Stingray driver concentrating as he plows down the strip, and in yet another we even hear the driver let out a little whoop of happiness over his convincing win.

The SSDracer channel on YouTube delivered all the action, captured recently at the Barona Dragstrip in Lakeside, California. The Corvette racer is no stranger to the strip in other vehicles as he also owns a 2022 Honda Accord Sport and a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP with a supercharged 3.8-liter V6. (In the past, he’s also competed in a 2018 Camaro SS and a 2020 Honda Accord Sport.)

Mr. SSDracer is no doubt one of those reliable Corvette customers that Chevy loves to see. He just upgraded from a Red Mist 2023 Z51 into this brand new 2024 Rapid Blue Z51 and promptly decided to see what a difference a year could make.

In this case, his stock ’24 quickly made mincemeat of the upgraded Audi, roaring to a time of 7.59 seconds contrasted with the foreign competition’s 8.33 seconds.
