Last weekend, the two-car effort from TF Sport resulted in both teams earning a visit to the podium as the No. 81 and 82 Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs finished 2nd and 3rd in the LMGT3 class at the Six Hours of Bahrain. Both Corvettes would lead the class during the race and in fact, the No. 81 ran in front six different times for a race-high 121 laps.
In the world of multi-class road racing, GT fans are sometimes forgotten as the TV cameras follow the teams and cars competing in the top prototype classes. We’re used to that, which is why we always try to watch a race broadcast with a second screen from our tablet or laptop tuned to the in-car racing feed.
Had you been watching the live feed from the Corvettes over the weekend in Bahrain, you might have caught this fantastic sequence captured by the dash cam of the number 81 car with drivers Charlie Eastwood, Tom Van Rompuy, and Rui Andrade. We’re not sure who the Corvette driver was during this video, but it looks like he was making all the right moves:

Boy, do I wish that was a bit longer! As the original poster asks, “Are you not a fan??”
TF Sport showed steady improvement over the course of the 2024 World Endurance Championship Series and ending the season with a double podium was the icing on the cake. TF Sport will be returning to action with the Z06 GT3Rs in 2025 with the season opener starting February 28th in Qatar.

Pretty cool.
Way to go TF Sport! The hotshot driver in the video looks like he knows how to get it done.
JUEVOS,COURAGE,REDICULOUSE TALENT. Love those guys/ladies who are blessed with the talent and BALLS to do this and be competitive.
AWESOME!
Quite the action!
That was Charlie Eastwood. A former Aston factory driver.
These professional drivers are the key factors in such a campaign.
Would the rade have dured another 30 minutes it would have gained also the leader.
It is always also a matter of tire-management in these long-distance races.
Hopefully next year they do not screw again on the BOP’s. And when then shure to give some weight to the Ferraris and Porsches.
Actually, unlike the NBC coverage of IMSA, the WEC coverage I thought did a great job of covering this GT battle during the race. It was some great racing going on – and clean racing, unlike the NASCAR bumper cars.
Congratulations TF Sport. Looks like the experience this year with the new car is coming together. WEC bop has always been a little iffy with the Corvette. Hopefully that can get worked out for next year. Great job TF Sport!
