We’ve been talking quite a bit over the last few months about how much the market has changed for the C8 Corvette Stingray. After roughly five years of heavy demand, we have finally reached the point where dealers are able to order the Stingray for inventory while also passing along significant savings to customers who purchase these cars off the lot.

As the C8 market has reached this tipping point, we’ve been waiting to see if Chevrolet would start to offer incentives on the car. We saw last month that the first “financing offer” for the Stingray was released. While the terms of that offer weren’t all that great, it was a start.

We have learned today that Chevrolet is now offering the first cash rebate for buyers of the 2024 Corvette, but of course that comes with strings attached. Chevy is making this offer specifically for current owners of Camaros. If you own a 2010 Camaro or later, you can receive a cash rebate of $2,500 when you purchase a new 2024 Corvette Stingray. You don’t have to sell or trade the Camaro, you only have to show that one is registered to you. As always, see your Chevrolet dealer for details.

While the scope of this rebate offer is very narrowly targeted to Camaro owners, were glad to see that these kinds of offers are finally available for the 8th generation of America’s Favorite Sports Car. One discount that Chevrolet has not yet offered for the C8 Corvette is Employee Pricing for those who work for General Motors. Hopefully we see that come through soon as well.

The 2024 model year was the last for Camaro and while it may come back as some sort of EV, we’re going to miss having the Camaro in Chevrolet’s vehicle lineup. Maybe we’ll soon see an offer of Malibu owners as those cars are going away after the 2025 model year as well.

I use zip code 64014 as it’s in the middle of the United States and then max out the radius to 2,000 miles to see all of these 3,888 Corvettes listed for sale in the U.S., except Alaska and Hawaii.

What is surprising, there are 3,300 Stingray models for sale so almost every one of the U.S. 3,970 Chevy dealers could have one new Corvette Stingray sitting on the showroom floor, like the good old days of selling America’s Sports Cars.
(Jul 12, 2024 — The total number of Chevrolet dealers in United States is 3970. Where can I get the Chevrolet dealers in United States leads database?

Corvettes Rule – even when they’re not selling!

  2. How about a rebate for Bolt owners. As much as I love my C7 M7 front engine Grand Sport, I really don’t see me in a C8 and will keep it for a long time. Sits next to my new Lexus RC F in the garage. Lexus makes awesome quality and fast cars.

  3. Out of touch!!!, imagine that…most chevy owners have more than one chevy!!! Or GM products. If any incentives are available should be substantial and meaningful to the people that have been loyal to the brand. Crumbs are meaningless when prices are thousands of dollars…still a chevy loyal customer even when they are far behind other manufacturers. Get with the times and maybe they can get back some of the market share lost lately…

  4. GM once again proving they are out of touch with their customer base. As much as I’d love to buy a Corvette, I won’t. Why? The car is too small. I simply can not fit in it. That’s why I have a Camaro. When I tried to sit in a C8, my head was too high, and I had to bend my neck to the side just to get my butt in my seat. Once fully seated my head was still severely tilted to the side. If GM wants to target Camaro owners they need to do it with a car Camaro owners fit in.

  5. When the total purchase is over $100,000 out the door, $2,500 really doesn’t mean that much.

Yes, I considered trading in my 2010 Camaro, when I purchased my 2023 C8 Red Mist convertible, but I kept it and used it as a trade in for a 2024 2SS Camaro.

Both cars are a rush to drive. The power is incredible in both. Two kinds of fun!
