Latest Constraints and an Update on 2024/2025 Dates

Yes, another Corvette ordering window opened yesterday with dealers now able to submit their latest 2024 orders to GM’s ordering system. They were provided their allocation numbers (estimated shipments) last week and today they can tag and release those orders into the system. Dealers also received constraint information which is only affecting Stingrays for this cycle.

As for the Stingray Constraints, the Q9I wheel continues to be listed, but there are quantities available. The Z51 vs Non-Z51 are still controlled as well with dealers just finding out yesterday how many of each can they order. As we have stated previously, these numbers continue to change with each order cycle, and dealers never know what their percentage will be until it comes down on order day. Also on limited constraint is the 1LT package which we are starting to see show up at dealerships as in-stock inventory.

The one item we didn’t hear about is the 5ZU painted high wings for the Stingray. They have not been available for some time so it will be nice to have those back.

So that’s it for the constraints for this week. No constraints were listed for either the Z06 or the E-Ray, which a few select dealers were able to order this week as well.

Last week we were excited to finally get some news from GM/Chevrolet on when the current 2024 model year will be closing and the startup of the 2025s. For this we turned to our friend Rick Conti who received the latest dealer info deck and a memo which listed this info. Even at the time as he was going through it, Rick mentioned that some of this info didn’t seem to quite add up.

One of these is the end of 2024 production which was said to be Friday, July 12, with the 2025 models starting up on Monday, July 15th. These dates now appear to be incorrect as the we have the build out dates on the 2024 colors from GM’s Global Connect software, which will extend 2024 production into August. The date following the color represents the final order cycle to place an order for that color before its discontinued.

• Amplify Orange – 6/27
• Accelerate Yellow – 7/11
• Silver Flare – 7/11
• Cacti – 7/25
• Carbon Flash – 8/1
• Ceramic Matrix Gray – 8/1
• Hypersonic Gray – 8/8

Should 8/8 also coincide with being the final date to order the 2024s, we’re probably looking at September start up for the 2025s.

  1. Chevrolet probably wants the 2024 Model year of the C8 Corvette to be the Highest Production run.
