The PGVPA has once again secured their 2024 Corvette Z06 order with North Star Chevrolet and the car was built and delivered to them just last month. Checking out the spec sheet on the car shows that all of the important boxes checked. It starts with a Z06 Convertible in Red Mist Metallic with Natural interior, along with a Carbon Flash top and nacelles. The option for the Z07 Performance Package is checked as are the Brembo Carbon Ceramic brakes. The Corvette’s curb appeal is enhanced with the addition of the Satin Graphite spider-design alloy wheels with the red stripe around the edge, while the calipers are painted in Edge Red.
Inside, you’ll find a Natural Napa leather 2LZ interior with GT2 Sport Seats, and it comes with all the creature comforts and the latest safety equipment. Of course, the car has the Performance Data Recorder should you want to record your own next level driving adventures, and the 14-speaker Bose Performance Series Sound System will surround you in an envelope of your favorite songs.
The 2024 Corvette Z06 features the bespoke 5.5L 670-hp LT6 V8 engine that returns the performance-oriented Z06 model to its naturally aspirated roots thanks to its flat-plane crankshafts and the ability to rev to 8600 RPM! The sound from the engine is so distinctive that engineers created a custom exhaust designed to amplify that sound back to the driver, creating the ultimate feedback loop! Every one of the 670-hp/460-torque LT6 engines are hand-assembled by the master engine builders at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center.
Pittsburgh International Race Complex or Pitt Race as it’s known was the first track to showcase the C8 Corvette Z06. The track was featured in the Z06’s cinematic reveal video and a year later, the Corvette Team hosted a number of journalists to the track for the first Ride N Drive in America’s newest supercar.
By donating to this charitable cause, you are helping the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Association make a huge difference in the lives of individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities. The PVGPA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that stages a 10-Day Motorsport Festival complete with car shows, charity fundraisers, and two weekends of racing, one at Pitt Race and the second through the city streets of Schenley Park. Proceeds from the events and this fundraiser help people with autism and intellectual & developmental disabilities. Over $6 million in donations have been offered to charities by the PVGPA since its founding in 1983.
