What am I looking at in Pic #90? I don’t recognize it.
Pictures 1 & 4 were taken at Dover Dragstrip in Wingdale New York, Dutchess County. It was a 1/4 mile track that opened in 1961 and closed in 1976. It was nice seeing the old track that I spent many Sundays at. Judging by the flag starter the pictures were pre 1964 when they put in the “Christmas Tree”. Thanks for the memories .

I like the picture of the white 68 convertible restomod.
A lot of great pictures this week!!!! My hat is tipped to the owner that trained his K9 to wash his 63, but the winner is the good Sister in The Ultimate Temptation picture. Maybe their religious order is using that as a requitement promotion. You have to admit, that’s pretty wicked!!!!
The picture of the dog washing its master’s 63 Vette
should be made into a “Poster”. I’d buy one; its just great, especially
the dog balancing its left leg on the wheel so as not to fall and sponging
the soap with its right. Great great photo, the two loves of thousands
of people. Their Corvette and their dog.
I’d hang that poster right in my garage!
Thanks Mike for the number of ’56-’57s. I have always loved those 2 years and the Cascade Green is my favorite color, next to my Black Rose ’17. I look forward to seeing your Corvette Barn finds and throwback pictures each week.
