Calling the commitment to celebrating the Corvette’s legacy “unwavering,” the chair of the National Corvette Museum Board of Directors says the search is “moving forward” for a new CEO.

“We will be moving forward with a search for new leadership of the National Corvette Museum, with the focus on continuing the forward progress and accomplishments of the past 30 years, while honoring our connections to our staff, donors, members, and the Corvette community,” Kaye Wagner said in a message addressed to “members of the Corvette Community.”

Sharon Brawner, who had served as president and CEO since September 2021, left the NCM earlier this month, and Bryce Burklow is serving as the interim Chief Operating Officer until the board appoints her successor.

In her letter, Wagner noted the strides the museum has made over the past few years, “from expanding our exhibits and educational programs to enhancing the visitor experience and hosting unforgettable events,” and called that progress “a testament to the collective passion, dedication, and hard work of our entire community, including our staff, volunteers, donors, members, and Corvette enthusiasts worldwide.”

Wagner says the board is working “in close collaboration with Museum staff” during the search for a new leader “to ensure the criteria will not only respect our storied past, but also create an exciting future reflective of the desires and direction of our stakeholders.”

She invited members of the Corvette community to share their thoughts, ideas, and visions for the future of the NCM with board members, saying:

“We see and appreciate the passion displayed by the members of this community, value your input and welcome further dialogue focused on the continued success of the National Corvette Museum. Your feedback is invaluable as we navigate this transition and hear what is most important to you as we look to the future.”

Wagner thanked enthusiasts for their support, passion, and trust in the past and said she is looking forward to sharing “many more milestones” with enthusiasts.

“Together, we have made the National Corvette Museum a home for those who share a passion for Corvette,” Wagner said, “and together, we will continue to drive forward, honoring our heritage while embracing the future.”

  1. Will we ever find out the real reason for the leadership change? As usual in today’s world, probably not. Hope they find a good leader, getting hard to do in today’s world.

  2. Regards the next NCM President and CEO, my wife and I believe Bryce should be that person, a great leader of and for the NCM, Bryce should be given significant consideration for the position.

Bryce has been there, thru thick and thin, knows everything and everybody, and has a Dedication to the NCM second to none.

Bryce has the Respect of everyone who knows him, NCM staff and membership alike, with all-important Leadership and Managerial Qualities, with a Passion and Vision for the next steps to insure the NCM’s success.

We believe it would truly be a mistake not to have Bryce as the next NCM President and CEO.
