[VIDEO] The 1963 Corvette Split Window Colorama Collection Sells at Mecum Kissimmee for a Combined $1,559,250

One of our favorite collections offered at Mecum Kissimmee and one that probably had generated the most buzz from Corvette enthusiasts was the 1963 Corvette Split Window Colorama Collection. The collection was assembled and offered by ProTeam Corvette and the seven Split Windows were offered with each being one represented in one of the seven exterior colors that were available for the first year Sting Rays.

Each of the Sting Rays were different configurations when it came to the powertrains as some were fuelies and others were standard 327s. One of the cars was an export Z06 in Daytona Blue that was sent to Australia back in the day for its Right Hand Drive conversion. That car would be the only one not to change hands during the sale, and as Mecum says, “the bid goes on…” for that special one-of-a-kind Sting Ray.

Another cool aspect of this collection is that all seven Corvettes were driven onto Mecum’s auction block and then each of the cars was offered. The sight of seven Split Windows was pretty cool and we are glad to have found this video below showcasing the group sale. The Colorama Collection, which represented every color Corvette produced in 1963, was for sale at Mecum Kissimmee 2024. All Vettes were lined up and auctioned individually. All sold, with the exception of one.
