[VIDEO] Detailing a 1969 Corvette at the Cavalcade of Customs

This is a pretty cool video that’s a bit different than most of the detailing videos I usually see which consists of barn finds and first washes. This custom 1969 Corvette Coupe was on display at the Cavalcade of Customs in Cincinnati, Ohio earlier this month and it’s the main character in this story.

The detailer is walking the show floor prior to the public opening and sees this 1969 Corvette and the owner Jim, who appears to be struggling with some issues from getting the car to the show. What makes this detailing video interesting for us is that the quality of the car is already spectacular, and then once the action starts, there’s a great soundtrack that rocks during the polishing phase of the video. It may be a little loud for some, but I found it to be a welcome distraction. The video runs just 8:38 minutes and at one point, you see Jim’s dedicated wife also doing her part to support the cause!

The detailer says he performed a “one-step polish” and a ceramic graphene coating to correct the minor damages in this customer’s 1969 Corvette show car. We’re sure the owner was appreciative of having that kind of help and it may have just been the thing that put the car over the top as the detailer will later leave a comment to say the car won 1st place and two other awards during the show.

Check out this very clean 1969 Corvette Stingray in the video below!

  1. This 69 is one sweet looker!!! It’s surprising that someone who owns an immaculate show car doesn’t know how to buff out minor scratches and haze. I would have buffed and polished it for him for free just for the pleasure and opportunity of detailing that badass Vette.
