Alrighty, Corvette Nation. I did my due dilligence today and got the ordering constraints for this month’s Corvette order cycle. Again, these constraints only affect those orders going into the system today. For the most part, it’s good news, so let’s get at it!

The biggest issue facing dealers today with ordering the 2024 Stingray is that Chevrolet has given dealers different percentages for either the base Stingray or one with the Z51 Performance Package. We spoke with two national dealers and their matrix for ordering the Stingrays were completely opposite. One had to have 90% Z51s while the other was 67% non-Z51. We are sure there is some mad reason for this, but these numbers come from Detroit, so it is what it is.

The other big issue for Stingray is the lack of the Q9I Gloss Black Forged Wheels. For whatever reason, Chevy either has these on full constraint or there is some sort of controlled release like today where only select dealers get a limited number. What’s weird about this wheel is that they offer the same style of wheel in other finishes. Seriously, how hard is it to paint them in gloss black? If you’re a Stingray buyer and looking to put in a future order with these wheels, I would definitely have a backup choice on your list.

The other really good news is that all the aero and ground effects packages for the Z06 are available with this order cycle. However, dealers told us that the number of Z06s they could order this cycle are down from the previous month. So, for a dealer who gets two or three this time, they can order everything they want including the Z07 Performance Package. The only Z06-specific constraint listed on today’s report was the Carbon Fiber Engine Cross Brace.

There were no E-Ray allocations this month granted, so no E-Ray specific constraints were offered other than the Carbon Fiber Engine Cross Brace which fits over the LT2.

Here’s the constraint list for the January 2024 Corvette Order Cycle. The two sets of numbers following the RPO/LPO option reflect the different quantities for dealers based on their size. The first is the top tier number while the second is the third tier number available.

2024 Stingray:

• Q9I Gloss Black Forged Wheels – (176)(4)
• PCX – Tech Bronze Package
• 5DG – Tech Bronze Wheels
• SLN – Carbon Fiber Engine Cross Brace
• 5ZU – Stingray Highwing in Body Color
• Z51 – Performance Package – (879)(21)
• Non Z51 – (719)(18)

2024 Corvette Z06

• SLN – Carbon Fiber Engine Cross Brace

2024 Corvette E-Ray

• SLN – Carbon Fiber Engine Cross Brace

The next Corvette ordering cycle will start on Thursday, February 15th for allocations and then constraints and ordering will open on February 22nd.

  1. What does the Z51 constraints mean in laymen terms I don’t understand the (879) (21) I have an order with a small dealer in Jefferson City TN TARR Chevrolet

  2. GM really mad a customer of mine really upset. Was a true accepted order in October. GM kicked it out for the r package. Almost three months later kicked out due to no r package decals. Really. When they can be ordered thru any parts department

  3. Isn’t the next DOSP February 8th for allocations and the 15th constraints just looking at the consensus calendar….
