Corvettes for Sale: CTF 2020 Corvette Stingray #119 Offered for $10K Under Original MSRP

A C8 coupe with an interesting back story is on the market on Craigslist, and the asking price of $71,996 is among the lowest we’ve seen for a used mid-engine ‘Vette.

This 2020 Stingray – the 119th ever produced – served as part of the Captured Test Fleet (CTF) and was built on Dec. 13, 2019, some three months before customer production began in February 2020.

The car was built by General Motors as an evaluation car and was also used in Chevrolet national product training at Spring Mountain Motor Sport Ranch in Nevada.

Indeed, the selling dealer – Gamblin Motors out of Washington state – says it sent two employees to train at Spring Mountain and this was one of the Corvettes being used there.

This Sebring Orange Stingray comes nicely equipped. Its $82,360 MSRP includes the 2LT Preferred Equipment Package, not to mention the $5,000 Z51 Performance Package, $1,995 Visible Carbon Fiber Removable Roof Panel, $1,500 Carbon Fiber Interior Trim, $995 Carbon Flash Metallic Full Length Dual Racing Stripe Package, $995 Carbon Flash Painted Aluminum Wheels, $595 Sueded Microfiber-Wrapped Steering Wheel, $395 Orange Seat Belts, and $100 Carbon Flash Metallic Painted Outside Mirrors.

Better yet, as opposed to the 2020 Corvette with 98,000 miles that we told you about last week being offered for just $53,500, this orange Stingray has just 9,772 miles and seems to be in like-new condition, based on the photos with the listing.

Even better, it’s a Certified Pre-Owned car and includes a 12 Month / 12,000 Mile (whichever comes first) $0 deductible warranty from certified purchase date, along with a 172 Point Inspection and a 24 Month/24,000 Mile CPO Scheduled Maintenance Plan. The Powertrain Limited Warranty is 72 Month/100,000 Mile from original in-service date, so there’s still two years left on that.

Though some people might be concerned with getting an early production model because the bugs were still being worked out, this now four-year-old car should have had all the kinks eliminated by now, at least you’d think.

  1. And, like a rental car, I seriously doubt it has had the snot beat out of it…😵‍💫🤦

  2. Sure don’t see full length dual racing stripes? Mine has then and I can see them real well . 🤯

  3. At least you know for sure that the car had the snot run out of it. Can’t say that about all the other ones that original buyers paid $5000-15000 over MSRP.

  4. I thought they zero out all warranty when they hit the track, I would be surprised if it has the power train warranty left! At least it is broken in by 200 of your closest friends!

  5. Was looking for the third pedal. Kinda wondering how many teeth are still in service on the first 6 gears?

  6. I keep on hearing and reading about transmission issues on the C8. Think I will stick with buying a used C7 instead of a C8
