[VIDEO] C8 Corvettes Feast on HellCats at the Drag Strip


Here’s two American automotive icons sharing the stage together.

The Chevy Corvette has always been a fast car, but the move to the mid-engine layout with 60% of its weight now on the rear axle provides it with the ability to launch faster and with more traction than ever before. Then there’s the Dodge Hellcat family featuring performance versions of its retro-designed Charger and Challenger models which are known for their straight-line speed. Putting the two cars together on the dragstrip to do battle is always worthy of watching, and that’s what we have for you this afternoon.

Here’s four different C8s lining up to take on a few Charger and Challenger Hellcats. Watching the Corvettes take down these Hellcats is the perfect way to race into the weekend! The C8s didn’t take every win, but the racing action is still very much fun to watch!

  1. That first guy in the Red C8 needs to learn his car better, it’s kinda cool what Mopar has done with the retro thing. With that being said, all of the Mopar lineup is only good at one thing and one thing only, destroying tires at will. While being lot’s of fun it does make these cars pretty much useless otherwise, well other then the Charger being a four door ya know for hauling kids around and groceries. And of course the Vette looks a thousand times better then any Mopar and gets better MPG!
