It turns out that certain states receive a majority of the 2023 Corvette Z06s that are delivered from Bowling Green. That makes sense, because you would imagine that the states with the most population would receive the most cars. Maybe, maybe not.
As it turns out, about half of the Z06s delivered have gone to seven states. Here are the top seven states based on population:
1. California
2. Texas
3. Florida
4. New York
5. Pennsylvania
6. Illinois
7. Ohio

Now what are the top seven states for Z06s? Based on a dataset of 3,301 of the ~4,600 Z06s that have been built, these are the top seven states and the number of Z06s they’ve received:
1. Florida – 344
2. Texas – 294
3. California – 276
4. Michigan – 231
5. New Jersey – 204
6. New Hampshire – 191
7. Ohio – 129
These seven states have received almost 51% of all Z06s delivered. Why the three outliers? Well, New Jersey is the home of Ciocca Corvette of Atlantic City which has received 154 deliveries, New Hampshire is the home of MacMulkin Chevrolet Cadillac which has received 186. Michigan, well Michigan is home to Detroit, and a lot of early deliveries stayed close to home.

The average percentage of Carbon Fiber aero cars (T0G, T0F, or Z07) built to date is approximately 22% of the total. The average for these seven states is approximately 21%, so this tracks pretty well.
How many Z06s have gone to Canada? Ontario has received 29 of the 56 sent north of the border. That’s more than 23 different states have received. And the number of those cars with CF aero: 40, or 71%, of the cars shipped up north have CF aero.

Of course, as more data is accumulated, these numbers will change. But this is a snapshot based on data from 72% of the total Z06s assembled to date.
Now you don’t have to move to Florida, Texas, California, or even Ontario to get a Z06. There are many dealers in these states and others that will be happy to add you to their list of waiting customers.

Well, I am in the state of confusion so my chances aren’t looking great.
In my search for a 70th Z06 I found Florida, California, Ohio, & Texas to have the worst over MSRP dealers out there. But overall I found about 98% of every dealership I contacted nationwide to be over MSRP. That sure doesn’t seem to indicate that Chevrolet tried very hard to curb over sticker pricing or curtailing Z06 delivers to over MSRP offenders!!!!!!!!
It’s all about how much money you have and who you know.
