These days, it’s not often that a person keeps a car for 35 years.
But that’s the case with this 1957 Corvette that’s had the same owner since 1988 but is now looking for a new home on eBay, where it’s being offered for $45,000.
The listing doesn’t offer very much information about the car, other than that this barn find still runs and drives.
Since only 6,339 Corvettes were originally built at the St. Louis factory in 1957, that means each one of them is worth protecting and bringing back to life, at least in our opinion.
While it definitely warrants an in-person inspection, if you don’t mind traveling to Clarendon Hills, Illinois to do so, photos with the listing seem to indicate that this one has a good head start on a restoration. The body of the car, for example, looks in pretty decent shape for a 66-year-old, with no visible signs of damage. Hopefully, that evaluation extends to hidden parts like the frame susceptible to rust.
Unfortunately, no photos of the interior are included, so there’s no way to tell how much work it might need on the inside. Reproduction parts are readily available, though, so that might not be a major problem.
