We’ve all eaten at our share of fast-food joints, but this takes that concept to a whole new level.

Unfortunately, right now this high-speed fast-food truck is just a rendering created by the mind of automotive designer Oscar Vargas, who can be found on Instagram (@wb.artist.20).

But the real thing is said to be on the way.

Oscar’s drawing starts with a vintage International Metro Van, with an equally vintage-looking patina, that’s been turned into a rolling food truck inspired by Luc’s Garage Bar and Fajita Hut, a real restaurant that serves up food with an automotive theme in Hewitt, New Jersey.

Since about one-fourth of a real 1954 Metro Van is already being used as a wall decoration at the restaurant, the folks there decided it would also be a cool idea to create a real high-powered food truck inspired by that same retro concept – but updated with the latest technical advances from a C8 Corvette.

After all, if you want fast food, what better way to get it there as fast as possible than with an engine from a C8 Stingray? Its 495-horsepower powerplant is sure to get the job done in a flash, right?

Oscar calls his concept the “Vettro” in his rendering and dubs it the “fastest and most insanely cool Food Truck you’ll ever see!”

Adds Oscar: “Leave it to @lucs and @lucsretros to stuff the guts of a C8 Corvette in a International Metro van that’s also a tribute to @kblock43. Kitchen on one side and bar on the other and most importantly that C8 engine in the middle! Check out the build as it progresses as they also plan to enter it to @guinnessworldrecords for fastest food truck!”

Sounds like a winning idea to us. I’d love to see it parked in front of the National Corvette Museum, wouldn’t you?
