[VIDEO] Is this the Purple That GM Should Have Made for the 2025 Corvette

We finally got our wish for a new purple exterior on the 2025 Corvette. Introduced at the Michelin NCM Bash, Corvette Team members shared a “frog” painted in new Hysteria Purple Metallic. We’ve been hot for a purple for sometime now and there’s a lot of opinions about this color and whether GM got it right.

It just so happens that an attendee of the Bash brought out his C8 Corvette Z06 that was wrapped in a Midnight Purple Metallic PPF, and when it was shown in the sun, it seriously turned some heads. A Google search pointed us to the Inozetek as the maker of the wrap.

Our friend Mike does a walk around the car and it really shines. The owner makes an entrance and talks with Mike about the car, and he really loves it as you can see. The owner explains that he was originally a “Vette-hater” and owned 911s, an M3, and a GTR, but once the C8 mid-engine Corvette showed up on the scene, he was sold. “The ZO6 is a totally different animal,” he says, and adds “It is as good as anything out there…good as anything.”

This C8 Z06 is his first Corvette, and you can tell how excited he is to share the various mods on the car. We couldn’t imagine a better way to introduce yourself to the Corvette lifestyle than with a new Z06.

This shade of purple looks good to me. It looks better than Hysteria Purple.

The Midnight Purple Metallic, definitely, is better than GM’s “purple”.

Love the Midnight Purple Metallic. When I first saw Hysteria it looked too blue to me, and when it was shown beside the Midnight Purple it looked even more blue.

Ferrari has a great colour… Viola Hong Kong. That’s the right purple.

Yes…purplish blue is not purple. GM has trouble being adventurist. At least they are bringing back the C7 orange. Check out McLaren purple.
