The great thing about virtual reality is that you can make anything you want with your computer, including super cool cars like this C3 Corvette Speedster.

Digital artist wb.artist20 recently created this dream ‘Vette and then shared his renderings with the world on Instagram in a set of six photos.

In the post, wb.artist20 pleads for someone to actually step up and make the real thing, and we are inclined to agree with him.

“I’m personally obsessed with this thing,” he writes. “Someone make it…it’s doable.”

His fans tend to agree that someone with the deep pockets necessary should create such a cool Stingray. One even commented on Instagram that he could just imagine driving a car like this on a Florida road.

Sounds like an idea to us. After all, what’s not to like about what looks like a 1969 convertible that has been lowered, given a set of nice custom wheels and a chopped windshield, and fitted with two humps on the rear deck directly behind the driver and his passenger?

The interior, meanwhile, still looks much like a stock Stingray, just with tasteful splashes of wood scattered around, including the steering wheel, console and dash. We reckon about the only thing left to our imagination in these renderings is which monster engine lurks beneath the sleek hood. What about one of the motors from a ZR1 – either a 638-horsepower LS9 from a C6 or a 755-horsepower LT5 from a C7? We wouldn’t complain about either choice, would you?

So how about it, CorvetteBlogger fans? Who has the money and desire out there to make this dream car a reality?

  1. Very sleek, but the upper corners of that windshield look potentially deadly to anyone riding in it, and not a fan of the fender flares.
