Chevy Dealers Receive Allocations for Final Order Cycle of 2023, Orders Go In Next Week

In what appears to be the final order cycle for the 2023 Corvette model year, Chevrolet sent out its allocation numbers to dealers this morning and to be honest, we are not sure what to think about it. We’ve talked with several large and small dealers and they all had different information to report.

As we reported earlier this month, the earlier order period in June that has been usually reserved for Stingray orders was pushed back, and several dealers were told that Stingray orders would go in the week of June 22nd. Now that we’ve surveyed several dealers, we have heard of just one that received any Stingray allocations this week, while others got just Z06s. We also heard from dealers (big and small) who said they received zero allocations for either car for this period.

The good with the Z06 orders is that it appears the Z07 numbers are rising as well. We are hearing of constraints with the Z06’s Carbon Flash Metallic aero, but the good news is that the required ground effects aero for the Z07s are available in visible Carbon Fiber which is what most buyers prefer. If that’s the case, this final order period will likely boost the overall production of Z06s with the Z07 up to 25-30% of total Z06 production. Currently, C8Tracker.com is showing the option accounting for 22% of Z06s so far.

Next week, dealers will get any final constraints and then will submit their orders. We hope that any of you waiting for a final 2023 model are among the lucky ones.
