Anyone looking to make a grand entrance might want to bid on this 1969 Corvette convertible with lots of firepower under the hood and a showy appearance, too.
This classic Stingray is being offered at no reserve on Bring a Trailer, with the current bid standing at $10,500. A new owner will be decided by the time the auction ends in five days.
The car has been repainted in metallic blue with white accents, including a stinger hood stripe and the rear end, along with a white soft top.
Inside, the blue and white theme continues, with white accents on the door panels, white bucket seats, and blue console, dash, and carpet. A wood-rimmed steering wheel is in place, though the original is included in the sale.
The most controversial part of the car – at least appearance-wise – may be its chrome 20-inch US Mags wheels, mounted inside 245/40 Lionhart LH-Five tires. If you watch the video provided by the selling dealer, you can see what the car looks like with the original rally wheels, however.
But there’s definitely no controversy about the powerful 427/390 V8 engine under the hood, featuring a single four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake manifold, and lots of bling – with a chrome air cleaner cover, thermostat housing, brake fluid cover, and valve colors. The big-block motor is connected to long-tube headers and a four-speed manual transmission, with the clutch reportedly replaced last December.
We love the blue and white theme, but we’d probably change out the wheels to something a little less flashy. How about you?

The good thing about wheels is that they can easily be changed. Not a good choice.
Very cool Corvette. I actually like larger than factory size wheels on C3s. The only thing I would do different is change out the 20’s all around for a nice looking set of staggered 19/20’s.
Love C3s
Cragar’s all the way- I have 2 ’68’s: one with stock wheels, other Le mans blue with Cragars-wins some trophys! Would love a 427 instead of my 327’s.
