[VIDEO] 2026 Corvette ZR1X Casually Runs into the 8s with Stock Tires

I’m a little late to this party, but I made it nonetheless!

Check out these two videos featuring a Blade Silver 2026 Corvette ZR1X which I believe is owned by Instagrammer @Johnvenaleck. It ran the quarter mile at Dragway 42 in West Salem, Ohio in 8.94 seconds at 157 MPH!

And it did on street tires too.

While not quite as fast as the 8.74 seconds @ 159 MPH run by DragTimes at the TX2K event in March, and we have yet to see any video of a ZR1X breaking the official time of 8.675 seconds @ 159 MPH set by GM, though I’ve heard some rumors…

But still, watching a Corvette come straight from the factory that will run in the 8s is something I never would have imagined just a few years ago.

Also participating at the track day was the Instagram account @hutterperformance who posted, “Track Day! We had the opportunity to take a Corvette C8 ZR1X to the track for some baseline data. Nothing like driving the ZR1X to the track and first hit is a 8.94 @ 157.34 on street tires in STOCK trim! Now time for some bolt ons – stay tuned….

They caught another view of the car from midway down the track, and the sound the Corvette ZR1X makes at it passes by definitely sounds like its jet-powered!
