[VIDEO] The 2024 Corvette E-Ray's Gauges and Screen Displays

Now that we are back from the NCM Bash, we are excited to dive into the details and share what we learned about the 2024 Corvette E-Ray. The model seemed to be well received by enthusiasts that we spoke with, and we heard from more than one buyer who said they switched their Z06 reservation over to the E-Ray.

The Corvette Team offered an in-depth presentation on the new hybrid performance sports car at the Bash, and one of the portions we wanted to share are the specific E-Ray gauges and screens. Executive Corvette Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter is handling this porting of the discussion and he also shows the start up animation and you can also hear a recording of the car doing a flying start-up.

We also hear Josh Holder and Harlan Charles in this segment, though they are off-camera. Josh says “tell all your friends that you saw it here…you don’t have to plug in an E-Ray, there’s no charging infrastructure involved, there’s no range-anxiety…the battery takes care of itself.” Josh also says the Charge+ button is used for “planning your next maneuver” so if you want to do a neighborhood exit in the morning, or go for a hero lap on the track, the Charge+ button will top off the battery. Harlan compares it to Formula 1 in which the hybrid race cars will do a “harvest lap” to fully charge their batteries before attempting their qualifying laps.

During the middle of this video, Tadge calls out to Mike Kutcher who was the lead development engineer on the E-Ray. Tadge explains that all the various models have one person that helps to bring it all together. As Tadge says, Mike worked on the E-Ray for some six years so this must be a very special time for him as the car has been revealed. Mike is another Corvette Team member who will be retiring shortly so we appreciate his dedication and hard work to launch this very special Corvette.
