2023 Corvette Z06 Visible Carbon Fiber Engine Cover Now Offered at Chevy Accessories

We mentioned last week that the Engine Appearance Packages for the Corvette Stingray and Z06 were making a comeback based on new updates to the 2023 Corvette Order Guide. The appearance package for the Stingray went away last January after the manufacturer of the parts was said to have exited the business, while the Z06 package was simply labeled as “Late Availability.”

Despite the Z06 being public for one and a half years, sightings of the Z06’S Engine Appearance Package and Visible Carbon Fiber Engine Cover have been rare. We had to look back to the October ’21 Z06 reveal at the Petersen where the Z06 Cutaway car was featured with the engine enhancing accessories.

Knowing that the engine appearance package was back in the works, we went looking for more info and came across the visible carbon fiber Z06 engine cover offered on Chevrolet Accessories. That cover, which we affectionately refer to here as the Z06’s “horse collar,” can now be ordered from the Chevrolet accessories page online, or from your dealer’s service department.

The Z06 Engine Cover is GM Parts #84643987 and the MSRP is $2,195.

Keep in mind that this carbon fiber engine cover is not included in the $995 Z06 Engine Appearance Package. We found the ZZ3 RPO has been added back to the Z06 Build and Price configurator. The Z06 Engine Appearance Package comes with the two carbon fiber close-out panels that reside on each side of the LT6 engine, and a lighting kit is also installed into the engine bay. The $995 Engine Appearance Packages can be found in the Build and Price configurators under the “Packages” tab.

For those Z06 owners who are planning on keeping their new Corvettes, these visible carbon fiber engine toppers would be a great accessory to spend some of those 500,000 MyChevy reward points earned for not flipping the car within the six month mandatory ownership” period.
