[ACCIDENT] 2019 Corvette ZR1 Goes Full Mustang at a Florida Cars & Coffee Meet-Up

We’ve got a “Florida Man” story coming out of the Orlando area this weekend and it involves both a Cars and Coffee gathering with a 755-hp 2019 Corvette ZR1. While those two things usually would go well together, it’s the Florida Man angle that mucks it all up. After all, our very definition of “Florida Man” is a Floridian who makes poor decisions with very public consequences, and that’s exactly what we have here.

In this case, our Florida Man was the driver of this Sebring Orange 2019 Corvette ZR1 complete with the ZTK High Wing and some custom wheels. Florida Man’s first mistake was to oblige a camera-holding spectator yelling “Get it, bud!” by stomping on the accelerator. The next thing we know, the Corvette is doing a “spin-a-roonie” into the landscaping, damaging the front fascia and bending those custom wheels. As the Corvette was going off-road, the guy with the camera is shouting all sorts of NSFW language so keep that in mind if you decide to hit play while at work or with the kids in the room.

We’ve seen more great looking Corvettes crashed because of the pressure to put on a show while leaving a Cars and Coffee event, and it’s really the one thing you never want to do at a public event because of the mayhem that it causes. Our Florida Man here was very lucky that there weren’t any other spectators lining the exits of the Cars and Coffee like we’ve seen in other locations, because that out of control ZR1 could have done some real damage.

Check out the replay of the crash from two different perspectives below:

  1. That moron got what he deserved. Hmmmmm…..how will he explain that to his insurance agent? 😂😂

  2. If the idiot knew how to drive he could have saved it. Stay off the brakes and steer the way you want to go. Also know when to lift.

  3. That idiotic bit of action could be reckless driving in some States. Driver should have car impounded six months and “driver training” on track for 30 days at the expense of the owner. Then a final driving test, followed with limited driving for one year. That is the kind of person who should be driving a golf cart, not a Corvette.
