If you’ve never heard of the 2011 Corvette ZR1 Hero Edition, there’s a good reason.
Only one of these cars was produced by Chevrolet to benefit the Kids Wish Network, and appropriately enough it features several upgrades, just like a real-life superhero.
The car is currently seeking its fourth owner, with an auction on Bring a Trailer already reaching $91,000 with two days remaining.
With just 1,968 miles on the odometer, this unique Corvette, not surprisingly, remains in like-new condition inside and out.
It’s on the inside where we think this ZR1 really shines. That completely red leather interior apparently was a forerunner of the Dipped Adrenaline Red interior offered in the 2023 Corvette, and we love it! It’s said to be the only 2011 ZR1 done in the combination of Blade Silver paint and the Red interior, and the result is a car that really lives up to the heroic nature of the ZR1.
Enthusiasts will also be thrilled to see the supercharged and intercooled 6.2-liter LS9 engine – visible through the polycarbonate window in the hood. That legendary engine already delivered 638 horsepower before undergoing further modifications by Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, but the listing doesn’t offer any word on the final output for this Hero Edition, unfortunately.
Naturally, the car offers plenty of other amenities, including Magnetic Selective Ride Control, six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo brakes with cross-drilled carbon-ceramic rotors, Keyless Access, push-button start, head-up display, CD stereo, cruise control, and dual-zone automatic climate control, among others.
According to comments posted on the listing, the Hero Edition was specially built by GM to honor the Kids Wish Network’s “Hero of the Month,” a child that has faced and overcome traumatic and life-changing circumstances with courage and spirit and serves as an inspiration to other patients, staff, and their families.

I have never heard of this car. It looks good. I like the color combo and the red stripe wheels.
