Bidding at $45,000 – Ends Monday 12/05 2:00pm Central

1959 Corvette

1959 Corvettes have a special appeal for fans of the fiberglass. Perhaps it’s the fact that the ’50s were ending and taking with them a special time in our history. Perhaps it’s the quad headlights or the brightwork that were somehow exactly right for this model. Whatever the cause, this 1959 Corvette deserves a place in your collection simply because it’s the ideal combination of charisma and performance. This is a private seller car out of a personal collection of outstanding high-end Corvettes. The owner purchased the car after it was restored and has owned it for over 30 years and has meticulously taken care of this car.

Roman Red with white side coves – is there anything more purely American than this ‘Vette? Detailing on these cars is exquisite and you can see why they’re so popular just by looking over all the little things that add up to such a great look. The toothy grille, the slender “gills” in the side coves, and the beautiful emblems on the nose and tail that are miniature works of art, all of it makes this Corvette something for the ages.

The fact that the restoration was rather well done certainly helps, and even though it was completed a years ago, it still looks great when you’re rushing down your favorite country road. The fiberglass is in good condition, the doors fit well. The chrome was all refinished, and even though this is just a 2-seater, there’s quite a bit of it, all of which is in excellent condition. This is one great-looking Corvette!

  1. I love the C8 but the 59 Would win most any car show and get the most ata-boys while driving around.

  2. The 2021 mainly because it will ride better and certainly all the extra goodies listed makes my choice easier.

  3. I sent this to my friends because I have a roman red 59 dual quad matching engine and a torch red 22 along with a roman red 59 Impala 2 door. The issue I see is the 59 for sale does not have the correct engine that lowers the price but it will have more power that some people want. the 21 has a tan interior that I feel sorry for anyone that buys it and drives it on a sunny day because the windshield glare will be so bad they will have to pull over, but who drives a Vette on a sunny day. Sorry for the negative comment I know that the question is about whether you want a 59 or a 21.

  4. The two observations made The 1959 does not have the correct engine and the LT3 interior will have glare from the sun are totally correct. If you have a light color dash you best have a way to put a black cover over it for driving day or night.
