[ACCIDENT] Hot Pursuit! C4 Corvette Burns After Being Chased by Mississippi Highway Patrol on Thanksgiving Day

The driver of this C4 Corvette coupe will likely remember Thanksgiving 2022 for a long time.

His formerly red sports car ended up a total loss after overheating and erupting in flames while being chased by Mississippi Highway Patrol – Troop K on Thursday afternoon.

Troopers say the pursuit began in Troop K’s district but came to an end in Troop J’s district in Forrest County, Mississippi on U.S. 49 at MS 13 around 1:22 p.m.

Volunteer firefighters responded to the scene and were able to get the fire under control quickly, but not before pretty much nothing remained of the Corvette but its skeleton. We believe it to be a C4 based on the wheels that did remain behind.

The driver – who has not been identified by authorities – was arrested at the scene and taken to Stone County jail, but he did have at least one thing to be thankful for on the holiday – no one was injured in all the commotion, though northbound traffic was delayed for a while.
