Digital Artist Channels the Great PBS Painter Bob Ross With This Ode to Corvette Summer

Inspiration can come from many sources, including sometimes unlikely ones.

That’s certainly the case with this soothing rendering of a 1967 Corvette Sting Ray coupe that carries a touch of sentimentality for the creator.

Timothy Adry Emmanuel, better known in the cyber world by his Instagram moniker of @adry53customs, explained in a recent post aimed at his lovely crush (@glory_sanggor) that while they are still waiting to fulfill her wish for a beach trip, he created this rendering of her favorite Corvette “hangin out at the beach, just like our Hawaiian dream.”

Adry explains that besides being inspired by his woman, he also was moved by the painting style of Bob Ross, the well-known American painter/artist/and TV star who hosted “The Joy of Painting” on PBS from 1983-94.

The rendering, which features a big-block 427 Corvette with a stinger hood, is an effort to duplicate Ross’s style, Adry explains, “the way he paint(s) the oceans, tried to replicate it here on 3d space.”

With a setting sun, palm trees, and a setting sun behind it, Adry offers up several views of the classic Corvette always topped by the ultimate reminder of a trip to the ocean, a surfboard.

We hope one day soon he and his woman are able to make that long-desired trip to Hawaii, and maybe a C2 Corvette and a surfboard like this will be waiting for them to enjoy during their stay on the island.
