[VIDEO] C5 Corvette Rendered as a “C5-R for the Street” by a Digital Artist for Hagerty

A digital artist named Khyzyl Saleem has an Instagram account filled with visions of slammed cars and concepts, although more recently, he’s been including photos of a red C5 Corvette that he just purchased. At the end of October 2021, the U.K.-based artist known as @the_kyza shared a photo proclaiming “New Car Day” with his “2nd dream car purchased” from a dealer in Poland.

His Red C5 already had a number of custom touches applied to it with the car lowered onto custom wheels while also having a front splitter and rear overhang spoiler. In an Instagram post, @the_kyza says “yes, a body kit and parts for the C5 are planned, and yes wheels will be changed. Just waiting on getting the car set for the UK and we should be golden!”

Fast forward a couple of months and Kyza and his red C5 Corvette are featured in this new episode of Hagerty’s “Rendered” series. As the video opens, Kyza is shown working in Photoshop on his C5 Corvette, calling it one of his favorite cars. He says after mulling around some ideas, he’s decided to add some of the design elements from the Corvette C5-R which he says caught his attention on the Gran Turismo video game. However, later on, he decides to walk back some of the more aggressive C5-R elements to make it more of a C5-R for the streets.

Anyone who follows Khyzyl knows that the C5 Corvette is near and dear to his heart. He recently purchased one and has been trying to decide what modifications he wants to make. In this episode of “Rendered,” Khyzyl designs a conceivable build inspired by the C5-R GT race car and adds several elements from other well-known Corvettes. Who knows, maybe one day he’ll take this concept from a render to reality.
