Every year around the Labor Day weekend, Corvette enthusiasts celebrate the Grand Opening of the National Corvette Museum in 1994 with a participant-focused event. This year’s show is scheduled for September 1st through the 3rd, and it marks the 28th Anniversary milestone for the NCM. The focus is on the diversity of people that Corvette has brought together for a look back on the Museum’s history and forward to the future! Registered participants can enjoy three days of activities in and around the Museum, including access to interesting and unique road tours, special video presentations, raffles, and more during this event in honor of your help and support.

Harlan Charles, Chevrolet Corvette & Camaro Product Manager, will be on-site to answer your questions! Hear from this year’s Hall of Fame Members-Elect in a moderated Round Table, see unique items from the Museum’s Collection up close, get on track at the NCM Motorsports Park, hear an update from the Bowling Green Assembly Plant, enter an all-Corvette Car Show on Saturday and so much more!

As in previous years, there will also be a 28th Anniversary Celebration Virtual Program which you can watch from the comfort of your home. Boundless- Betty Skelton VIP Viewing Party

From its inception, the automobile has been a catalyst for change. For over 100 years, car design and technology innovation impacted the industry while visions of freedom and glamour behind the wheel transformed society. Women have ALWAYS been part of this car culture. At times not welcome participants – they have proven themselves to be more than capable of handling the wheel and grabbing international headlines. As the automobile became a fixture in family garages at the start of the 20th century – women drove in rally races when there were no paved roads, mastered the mechanics on the vehicle as they wrenched on engines, advocated for better roads, and some, set speed records. Suffragettes utilized the car in their quest to gain the right to vote. These women had the same passion for cars as their male peers. Women with big, outrageous personalities, entrepreneurs, socialites, “proper” or “improper” women, adventurers – these women made headlines across the globe and stole the spotlight from men at times.
