Corvette Delivery Dispatch with National Corvette Seller Mike Furman for July 31st

Criswell Chevrolet’s Mike Furman delivers new Corvettes to his customers who come from all across the country to work with the nation’s top individual Corvette seller.

We’ll start off this Delivery Dispatch with heartfelt congratulations to Mike Furman as he starts his 45th year of selling America’s Favorite Sports Car. Mike shares some pics from his early selling days as well as a few modern-day photos. Also, check out some of the people and photos that Mike featured this week on his CorvetteFurman facebook page. Mike shares a few courtesy deliveries for the C8 Corvette, and then he offers a huge collection of vintage and throwback photos for your viewing enjoyment. ~Haymarket, Virginia! What a great turnout for the Vettes for Vets Show. Must have been 200+ Corvettes on display. I brought my Pearl White 70th anniversary 2023 Corvette Convertible. A quick 65 miles each way for me and my odometer is up to a whopping 227 miles driven?? *See everyone at Corvettes at Carlisle in a few weeks. I will have my Corvette on display at the Ron Fellows Spring Mountain race track on the Midway infield just next to the GM tent. Stop by and say hello. I will be there Wednesday afternoon through Saturday afternoon.

~July 26th marks the start of my 45th year selling Corvettes so I thought I’d post up some old pics along the way. It’s not a job if you love what you do!

~July 27 Left my house in Maryland at 3:45am to drive to Princeton, NJ to play in the yearly golf outing for the NCAA College Wrestling Hall of Fame. I wrestled at U of Maryland on a full ride and graduated so Long ago that my Washington Post Sports publicity picture was in B/W!??The 2nd picture is me and my high school wrestling coach, someone I’ve known since 1968! Bucky is 79 and in great shape!

~July 31, 1981 – The last Corvette rolled off the assembly line at the General Motors Plant in North St. Louis. The plant had built about 700,000 Vettes since 1954. GM moved the Corvette assembly line to Bowling Green, Kentucky.

~It’s not every day you get to open the mail and receive a personal note from an original “Charlie’s Angel”…Jaclyn Smith has been married for the last 25 years to a classmate of my sister and teammates with my brother from high school. Recently I came across home movies of a BIG wrestling match that my high school was involved in and my brother and Brad were the first two on the mat for our old team. I mailed Brad a thumb drive video of the match and in turn his wife sent me the personalized 8×10 that you see pictured.

~ 2023 Corvette Deliveries from the week!

~Jim O. of Wylie, Texas factory ordered his new Hypersonic gray 2023 Corvette Z51 coupe from me and I drop shipped it to his local Chevrolet dealership in Richardson, TX. Jim was thrilled with his choices and plans on enjoying every single mile!

~ Jay H. of Wellington, Florida ordered his new Red Mist 2023 Corvette Z51 Convertible with Red/black two tone interior and I had it drop shipped for courtesy delivery at his local dealership in Delray Beach, FL. Jay sent some great pics of his world class sports car!

~Garand P. of Surprise, Arizona had me drop ship his stunning new Corvette that he had me order and courtesy deliver it to his local Chevrolet dealership in Surprise, AZ. Garand ordered a Torch Red with Adrenaline red/black interior 2023 Corvette Z51 coupe. Equipment list: 3LT pkg, body color accents, 20 spoke gloss black wheels, Z51 pkg and much more!

~What a great story…met a guy at the Corvette show in Haymarket, VA that was parked right next to me with his 1956 Corvette. He shared with me that his Father bought this 1956 Venetian Red Corvette Convt in 1957 as the 2nd owner and it’s been in his family ever since. This gentleman had it restored over a decade ago and it will continue to stay in his family forever over time. Check out the old pics, the young toddler is the son and current owner and he even has the check from payment and original registration card! In 1956 Chevrolet produced 3,467 Corvettes and 1,043 In Venitian Red! The highest quantity in color of the 6 available colors.

Nice pics, but that 2023 Z51 convertible in Red Mist is the most beautiful car on the planet. I have a Crystal Red Met tint coat C6 GS which I love, I didn’t think any other color would be equal but damn that Red Mist is fabulous.
